The terms for using Calculator Dude: free educational tools, provided as-is, not professional advice, with sensible acceptable-use rules.

By using calculatordude.com (“the site”) you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to every visitor; there are no accounts to create and no contract to sign beyond your use of the pages.
We provide a free library of online calculators and accompanying reference content. Each calculator runs in your browser and returns an estimate based on a documented formula and reasonable default assumptions. The site is supported without advertising, affiliate links, or paid placements.
The calculators and articles are for general educational purposes. They are not, and must not be relied on as, financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, or engineering advice.
A calculator can only work with the numbers and assumptions you give it. Real-world outcomes depend on factors a simple tool cannot capture. For any decision that meaningfully affects your finances, health, legal standing, or safety, consult a suitably qualified professional who can review your specific circumstances.
The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We make a best-effort attempt at accuracy, validate the math against authoritative sources where possible, and document our methodology, but we do not guarantee that every result is free of error.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calculator Dude and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any calculation it produces. You use the tools and rely on their output at your own discretion and risk.
When using the site, please do not:
Otherwise, use the calculators freely and as often as you like.
The site design, written explanations, and original calculator implementations are the intellectual property of Calculator Dude. You are welcome to use the calculators and to link to any page. If you quote our explanatory content, please attribute it and link back to the source page. The underlying mathematical formulas are, of course, in the public domain.
Some pages cite or link to external sources such as government agencies, standards bodies, and research publications. We provide these links for reference and do not control or endorse the content of external sites. Visiting them is subject to their own terms and policies.
We add, change, retire, and correct calculators over time. Significant corrections to a published calculator are recorded on our corrections log. We may modify or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
